Lean Skills

We deliver Lean training aligned with the IASSC (International Association for Six Sigma Certification) Lean Body of Knowledge, a globally recognised standard for Lean professionals.

These programmes equip participants with the practical tools and structured methods needed to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency across organisations.

Two certification levels are available:

  • Lean Yellow Belt (Lean Practitioner)
Designed for professionals who want to understand Lean principles and apply them within their role or team.
  • Lean Green Belt (Lean Leader)
Designed for professionals responsible for leading improvement initiatives and embedding Lean thinking across departments or organisations.

The training focuses on real workplace application, helping participants identify inefficiencies, improve workflows, and deliver measurable operational improvements.

Lean Yellow Belt (Practitioner)

  • Suitable for professionals at any level who want to understand Lean principles and support process improvement initiatives.
  • No formal prerequisites are required.

Lean Green Belt (Leader)

  • Designed for professionals responsible for leading improvement projects or operational change initiatives.
  • Prior knowledge of Lean principles or completion of Lean Yellow Belt is beneficial but not always required.

These courses are suitable for professionals working in operations, project management, administration, manufacturing, service delivery, or continuous improvement roles.

Participants will develop the skills to identify inefficiencies, analyse workflows, and improve how work is carried out in their organisation. They will apply Lean principles to streamline processes, implement practical improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Participants will learn key Lean tools to assess performance, address root causes, and engage teams in ongoing process enhancement. The course focuses on practical, applied learning using real workplace scenarios.

Cenit College delivers the Lean Yellow and Green Belt programmes in a blended, practical format designed to upskill teams quickly and effectively. The courses combine interactive live sessions with real-world case studies, practical exercises, and one-to-one mentoring, ensuring learners can apply Lean principles immediately in their roles.

The training is highly engaging and hands-on, with opportunities for discussion, scenario-based learning, and guided support between sessions. Classes are kept small to provide personalised attention, allowing participants to gain both the knowledge and confidence needed to lead process improvement initiatives within their teams.

This programme supports businesses to:

  • Equip teams with Lean skills to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Standardise process improvement methods across the organisation
  • Increase team capability to identify and solve problems quickly
  • Strengthen decision-making and accountability through structured Lean practices
