Leadership Bootcamp

The Leadership Bootcamp is a blended leadership development framework combining accredited ILM modules with applied Power Skills workshops.

We offer two levels of Leadership Bootcamp, allowing organisations to support managers at different stages of responsibility.

  • Level 3 Leadership Bootcamp – for new and aspiring managers
  • Level 4 Leadership Bootcamp – for established managers or as Stage 2 progression

Organisations may choose to run:

  • Level 3 for emerging managers
  • Level 4 for senior managers
  • Or Level 3 followed by Level 4 as a structured two-stage leadership development pathway

Each Leadership Bootcamp leads to an overall ILM Award and a Cenit Leadership digital badge.

Level 3 Leadership Bootcamp

Leading Self and Leading Others

Designed for:

  • First-time managers
  • Supervisors and team leads
  • High-potential employees transitioning into leadership

This programme builds strong foundations in leadership behaviour, communication and confidence.

Leading Strategically and Driving Performance

Designed for:

  • Experienced or senior managers
  • Department leads
  • Leaders responsible for performance, change or strategic delivery
  • Or as Stage 2 progression following Level 3

This programme strengthens strategic capability, organisational alignment and performance leadership.

The structures below are examples. Every Leadership Bootcamp is customised to suit each organisation.

Level 3 Leadership Bootcamp

Typical ILM examples:

  • Developing Effective Leadership Skills
  • Managing Personal & Professional Development

Typical Power Skills examples:

  • Resilience and Managing Stress
  • Confidence Skills
  • Managing Conflict
  • Critical Thinking

On successful completion, participants achieve:

  • An ILM Level 3 Award
  • A Cenit Leadership digital badge recognising applied leadership capability

Typical ILM examples:

  • Understanding the Management Role to Improve Management Performance
  • Management Communication

Typical Power Skills examples:

  • Negotiation Skills
  • Delegation and Workload Planning
  • Coaching Conversations
  • Data-Informed Decision-Making

On successful completion, participants achieve:

  • An ILM Level 4 Award
  • A Cenit Leadership digital badge

Each ILM module can be delivered over 1 to 1.5 days, either as full days or split into half-day sessions. Power Skills workshops are delivered as half-day sessions.

Delivery can be:

  • In person, virtual or blended
  • Intensive or spaced over time to allow embedding

Participants receive:

  • Access to our Moodle platform
  • Digital ILM workbooks
  • Structured tutor support throughout assessment

Delivery follows a Universal Design for Learning approach, ensuring accessibility and structured support for leaders of varying experience levels.

Level 3 Leadership Bootcamp
  • Two ILM Level 3 modules (combined to achieve an ILM Level 3 Award)
  • Four Power Skills workshops (3 to 3.5 hours each)
  • Two ILM Level 4 modules (combined to achieve an ILM Level 4 Award)
  • Four Power Skills workshops

Every Leadership Bootcamp is customised, however we maintain:

  • A broad portfolio of ILM Level 3 and Level 4 modules
  • A suite of 14+ Power Skills workshops

At scoping stage, we work with you to:

  • Identify which managers require Level 3 and which require Level 4
  • Design a staged development pathway where appropriate
  • Select the two ILM modules and four Power Skills most aligned to your organisational priorities

This allows organisations to build a clear leadership pipeline, rather than deliver isolated training.

The Leadership Bootcamp is not a single course. It is a scalable leadership development pathway that supports managers at the right level, at the right time, with clear progression built in.
